What this site is

Approval Rating (approvalrating.us) is a poll-reading tool run by WeldonPC. It does standard sampling-error arithmetic on numbers you enter. It does not run polls, publish poll results, forecast elections or take any political side, and it is not affiliated with any pollster, party, campaign or government body.

Results are arithmetic, not advice

Margins shown are for sampling error only, under the usual simple-random-sample formulas, and depend on the numbers you type. They are not a judgement of any poll's quality. Check the original report before you rely on a number.

Your Poll Book

A Poll Book is opened with a private link and has no account or password. Anyone with the link can open, change or delete it, so keep it to yourself. Lose the link and we cannot recover it. A Poll Book not opened for 400 days is deleted. Do not put personal information about other people in it.

Reader Pass

The Reader Pass costs $1.95 a month or $19.50 a year. During the preview, payments are not switched on and nothing is charged. When payments are on, you can cancel in PayPal at any time; the Pass then runs to the end of the period paid for. Limits for each plan are on the pricing page.

Fair use

Do not try to break, overload or scrape the site. Limits apply to new Poll Books and added polls per day.

No warranty

The site is provided as is. We work to keep it correct and available but cannot promise it will be free of errors or always online.
